I could so go one of these this morning.
No, that's not chocolate in the bottom, it's coffee!
My fingers are hurting from hand sewing through layers of ruched linen and cotton all weekend and I'm sure I've suffered major blood loss from constantly jabbing the needle into my fingers by accident. I probably should use a thimble but I'm sure I'd need one for nearly every finger. If you have a hot tip for the best thimble (or any other device) to ease the pain of hand sewing let me know!
Sadly I can't offer a good tip for a thimble. I hope your beautiful ruched linen and cotton just happened to be red!
ReplyDeletePS. That Turkish coffee looks fab; grounds and all! Just off to get my caffeine fix ...
I need some advice about that too! My poor fingers have permanent holes in them! Just found your blog through Curlypops, it's lovely!! Your stuff is great!
ReplyDeleteCrikey - I thought that I was serious about coffee.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing what's on your desk this week. Thanks for playing.
Yum coffee to knock you off your chair. I always use a thimble but can't for the life of me remember which finger I put it on.
ReplyDeleteGeez, I think I'd have heart palpitations if I drank that!! (It'd be nice though...).
ReplyDeleteHi E & L! Thanks for stopping by my place. I do love a turkish coffee, with some honeyed baklava. YUM! I don't do a lot of handsewing, but I do have a thimble which is leather on one side and elasticey on the other and fits a long way down my finger. Good for punctures which happen at any point on my finger.
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for visiting my blog...and leading me to yours. I think you make just about the cutest softies ever!!
ReplyDeletei'm not a fan of coffee, but i'd love to try the turkish kind!
ReplyDeletei have no tips for preventing the stab of hand sewing, i just say "ouch" really loud then keep going ;-)
i have no patience for thimbles.
I love Turkish coffee. That looks like a beauty. I could go one of those with the baklava about now too.
ReplyDeleteNo advice on the thimbles either sorry.
Ohh Turkish coffee....with turkish delight... oohh... I could so go one of these too now... and then have my coffee read by some mysterious Turkish psychic!
ReplyDeleteI am a total novice on the thimble front but have just started working with a metal thimble which after I got used to it has worked out well.
