Thank you all for your kind and helpful comments on this post, I managed to source a small amount of lavender flowers with some more on the way. This lavender scented bird is in the shop now. Following advice from a few of you I am also making some birds with various scents using locally sourced essential oils. The air is smelling very sweet around here :)
