My creative space...
A Christmas day conversation:
Aunty Rebecca: What would you like me to make you for your 4th birthday this year?
Little A: Umm... an Ariel costume.
Aunty Rebecca: uuuuhhhh.... okaaaayyy.....
This is just a very small section of a desk covered in mermaid sketches, sparkly pink, sea green shimmer, tulle, cotton, sequins and pathetic attempts at making quilted sea shells... this morning things are finally looking up ;)

My girls always wanted to be Ariel. I ended up making a mermaid costume for one of them for Halloween..it was adorable!
wowzer, so far so good!!

Can't wait to see how this costume is going to turn out! Your table looks very intersting indeed! But maybe next time you could suggest a ghost costume! (sheet with holes for eyes) :)
I can't wait to see the finished costume!
*under the sea, darlings its better down where its wetter take it from meeeeeeeeeeeee* oh I heart that movie more than I really should admit!! its going to look super cute when your done!
very pink and glittery! i was asked to make a cotton sporticus suit by my 4 year old son {he gets eczma so the pre-maid nylon suits just don't work}. i just don't have the skillz!
oh that's so cute, I love that! And from what I can see it looks great so far...can't wait to see the final product!
I wish I had an Auntie Rebecca when I was four! It is looking just lovely:)
that little bikini is super cute!
Ohh, supercute! Will you show teh result later? :)
oooh! what an exciting project! Those 'shells' look great! x
Lesson number one - NEVER ask a pre-schooler what they want you to make for them. In my case the reply was a tiger costume. So I obliged. Fur 2 inches long clogging up my sewing machine. It's what you do for someone you love - but never again!
Your beautiful creation will be truly loved and cherished by the little mermaid.
Ohhh... that's going to be so pretty! Can you make me one next :)
Oh you're SO going to be 'Fun Aunt Rebecca' forever! Big brownie points...
I wish I was four (and you were my aunty) ... this is cool as ... please post a pic when it's finished and being loved by a super hyped up happy 4 yr old
I've got goosebumps. I had a Melody at my place for at least 2 years. I can't wait to see it finished.
