edward & lilly christmas
Hello everyone!
Just popping in to say a very special thank you to you all and to let you know about final dates for online Christmas shopping.
So here is some info to make your handmade Christmas shopping seamless!
Within Australia my recommended final date for your order to arrive in time for Christmas is 16 December, after this time I can also offer Express Post options. If you're concerned about your order not arriving in time just shoot me an email (rebecca@edwardandlilly.com) or convo me via my Etsy shop.
International customers need to get in a little earlier at the very least by 5 December, eek! That's soon!
And if you're in Brisbane (lucky you!) you can pop by and shop in person at the final two BrisStyle indie markets, details here, I would really love to see you at one of these markets :)
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting edward & lilly in what has been a huge year and to wish you all a beautiful festive season! Support for handmade this year has been overwhelming, exciting and so so encouraging.
2013 is set to be another fun one with loads of new products already in development and lots of crafty fun to be had with the Brisbane Brown Owls!
Ok! So you better get shopping and I better get stitching and I'll see you in 2013 if not before!
Best wishes
Rebecca x

my creative space
recycling jars into crocheted pretties
stitching sausage dogs
sketching and hoping this will translate nicely into fabric and thread
diving into the vintage fabric stash for some special limited edition goodies
making paper bags from junk mail for the next Brown Owls meet up
It feels like every spare second and wee hour of the morning this week has been spent stitching, sketching and hooking in preparation for Saturday's BrisStyle indie Eco Market. It's all good fun though and I wouldn't have it any other way :)

house & garden feature
So happy to be part of a feature encouraging hand crafted wares this Christmas in the current issue of Australian House & Garden magazine.
A big thank you to Elizabeth Wilson for her beautiful words, inspiring stylist Margot Braddon and photographer Jared Fowler for spending a full day in my little studio and the beautiful Kylie Johnson for supporting my work.
Just one more step towards encouraging people to buy handmade or even better inspiring them to get creative themselves ;)

christmas snowflakes
I'm really enjoying indulging in a bit of crochet for the festive season.
Christmas snowflakes have been so much fun to make, I'm planning on using them for lots of things this year: tree decorations, on a garland, hanging here and there around my little home, decorating presents, and slipped inside Christmas cards.
They come individually or in sets of three, you can pick up some for yourself here :)

christmas jar cosies
Like many people I have a huge stash of jars with limited use for them so I started prettying them up with some crochet for my market stall display. Soon after I found so many uses for them around the home I thought it was about time I unleashed them onto the world! I love up-cycling where I can and I love having little jar cosies scattered throughout my home.
Jar cosies have multiple uses, a pretty tea light holder, vase, pencil holder or as a cutlery holder to set off your Christmas table setting. They also make gorgeous hostess gifts for friends and loved ones.
Available here :)

my creative space... a month of
Lots of things happening in the space this week including some sweet new snowflake Christmas decorations and a new critter in progress inspired by my niece who adores donkeys.
If you stop by here regularly it's pretty obvious that I love playing along with my creative space each week so I'm super excited about a month of. Check out the details here and if you have instagram hashtag your creativity with #mycreativespace and #amonthof. One of my favourite things about my creative space each week is checking out all the instagram pics :)
Happy November and enjoy your day!
